After Izmir, my life and research in Netherlands resumed it's normal way.

Hello there!

After arriving in Netherlands again, the weekend was just spent by saying hello to family / friends and teammates. But durng the week my work to be done here resumed and I met up with Rene and Sandra at NEA. I also met the other intern; Vıncent who had just gotten back from Indonesia.

During this meeting I spoke about my weeks in İzmir and that I've gotten some information but not in the quantities that I wanted. The information about a few of the subjects that I found, however, were of decent quality. I also got jealous of Vıncent as he was able to visit a lot of companies and get all his desıred information.

İn the 3 following weeks I did some research, I wrote 1 new chapter about the Turkish port sector as well as some extra finetuning of two other chapters.

Along with this, I got ready for my next visit to this beatiful country which I'm starting to like. My first visit would be to Istanbul. Because of the fact that they are in the same project with NEA as Dokuz Eylül Universıty, I was able to go to Istanbul Technical University's Maritime Faculty. After that I would go to Izmir to gather some final information. This in combination with a talk with Mr. Deveci to talk about some of my (preliminary) results regarding the research.

Regards,
Tim
