Leaving the city of jakarta for holdidays in bali closing the internship
The last week in Jakarta was a good and sad time. I felt really blended in the social life in Indonesia and I got a clear focus what my report is going to look like now. It was working hard but also keeping in mind that I will go on Holiday the next three weeks.
Still there is so much to do until finalizing, but looking back I forget where all the time went. I did allot of interviews and visit allot of meetings and I know that experience will keep with me the rest of my life. I already notice that I learned how to read people and anticipate on what they would say. A experience I will never forget. That is something that was developed by visiting all these meetings.
Still there is a large amount of work to still get therefore I decided to work a few days longer in the office and have a quick visit to Semerang to obtain some data I still wanted. The last week in Semerang was during lebaran what made it difficult to obtain any sort of data as everyone was free.
Looking forward to the next months I will finish my analysis and provide a proper report and perhaps even start writing a paper about it. Looking back I had a time I will never forget, in which I developed myself and made many new friends.
Furthermore I will recommend anyone interested in water management, policy development, development of polder systems in Indonesia to follow the process of this polder closely as something unique is being developed over here.
Thank you Witteveen+Bos for giving me the opportunity to study this project!
